Tastings with Cat are open 2 to 6:30 PM with the records spinning.
6:30 we switch over to live music with the Aki Kumar Duo until 9PM. We will have wine by the glass and bottle service.
We’re getting in the mood for tonight’s show with one of the artists who inspired Aki’s sound. Here’s what Aki says about Muddy:
“Muddy Waters is the godfather of the electric blues sound and represents the transition point where the blues migrated from the soulful sounds of the Mississippi Delta to the fierce electric sounds of Chicago Blues. Everything about his music, from its lyricism to tonality to his phrasing is deeply appealing to me. He also employed some of the very best blues musicians of his era as his sidemen including Little Walter, the GOAT of the blues harmonica.”
