The flavors follow suit with ample red fruit, a touch of dark fruit, dried herbs and oak notes. The body and texture of the wine carry the package of flavors with great length and a lasting, clean finish.

The wine can complement a wide range of food flavors. Serve it with lamb or pork dishes, salmon, duck or duck confit, cheeses or a flavorful quiche. Balanced Pinot Noirs combine with a wide range of food, so don’t fear experimentation!

Our Sonoma Coast Pinot comes from the east side of the AVA. Just North of the Petaluma gap – this site is cooled by both the Pacific Ocean and the San Pablo Bay. Rolling from the base of the Sonoma Mountains into the Santa Rosa Plain, the vineyard is managed by Mark and Alec at Advanced Viticulture. Soils in the Vineyard are a mix of alluvial deposits, clay and sandy loam. The wine is an even mix of three Dijon clones, 777, 667 and 115. They were co-fermented and aged for 12 months in French oak, 30% new. Twenty-five percent whole cluster. 14.1% alc.

The wine was bottled in September 2014 and aged in bottle for 7 months prior to release.
