Did you know that Geyserville is unincorporated, and that the majority of businesses downtown are women-owned? It’s a super unique and creative business environment in which you have to work with historical buildings and unusual infrastructure to cultivate spaces and experiences for visitors. Geyserville is off the beaten path, but has a word-of-mouth reputation as being one of the coolest places to eat, drink, and shop.
Beginning this year, the small business owners of Geyserville have planned and hosted what will be quarterly, all-inclusive events downtown. These will vary from themed events (like the Spaghetti Western) to open house dates where every tasting room is offering a day of complimentary tastings and guest artists. Guests can take the opportunity to visit multiple tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops.
The first open house of 2025 is coming up on July 12th. We’ll be open regular hours, with the 12–4 time period dedicated to the collective. We’ll be featuring complimentary tastes of Sparkling Pet Nat, skin-fermented whites, Riesling, cool climate Pinot Noir, and Sagrantino. Our tasting room is an interactive work of art—we handmade all of the furniture and lighting, and kept many of the architectural details from its days as a tiny branch of the Bank of Italy, opening in Geyserville over 100 years ago. It’s a historical space with modern design, and a rotating art show on the walls.
On Saturday the 12th, as part of the open house, we’ll be welcoming local honey producer, Crazy Honey. Can’t wait to try some honey and wine pairings!
Attendance is free, and the collective encourages guests to RSVP through their Eventbrite link found here.
